Brazilian Swim Collection Features Bold Prints and Mosaics

 

Designer Lenny Niemeyer took her inspiration in surreal art and modern architecture; Joan Miro and Le Corbusier were key in designing shapes, prints, and color.  In prints, neutral grounds give way to brilliant splashes of color in blue, red, yellow.  A blue maillot yields the suggestion of brush strokes in black.  Lenny interprets Miro in a graffiti print using the colors and simplicity favored by the artist.  

Technique is studied in glazing and cracking techniques in paintings and weathered leather.  Lenny studies tiles and when enlarged, their lines create subtle shapes and organic mosaics.  She dared to apply broken mosaic tiles to her swimwear producing dramatic effects. 

 Geometrically cut suits, tile appliqué, and bold graphic prints were among the highlights of her presentation at Fashion Rio.

Lenny is a designer swimwear line from Brazil that is sold in major
retailers including; Barneys, Bloomingdale’s and Scoop, regular retail is

Anthony Ryan Leslie (born on September 25, 1978, in Washington, D.C.) is an American music producer and singer.

Ryan Leslie grew up all over the western United States moving frequently as his parents were ministers in The Salvation Army. While attending public school in Stockton, Californiaat age 14 he found out his parents were moving once again. Rather than having to attend a fifth school, he decided to finish his sophmore year and then enroll in college. He took the SATs and received a perfect score of 1600. Leslie attended Harvard University in the fall of 1994 at 15 years old and graduated at the age of 19 with a degree in Government and Economics.^[1] He now lives in Harlem, New York.

Ryan Leslie’s production style mainly utilizes real in-studio instruments while still achieving the same futuristic style of beat machines. ^[2]

Leslie’s production history spans several contemporary music genres, including hip hop, R&B, pop, gospel, and dancehall. Production credits include Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Cassie, JoJo, Nina Sky, Danity Kane, Diddy, Snoop Dogg, Donell Jones, Katharine McPhee, New Edition, One Chance, B5, Cheri Dennis, Latif, Megan Rochell and M. Pokora. ^[3]

He is currently writing songs for singer/songwriter Usher.

I was on the computer this weekend and I was talking to one of my very good friends when we wanted to listen to Ryan Leslie’s “Diamond Girl”on youtube.  After we finished listening to the song, I stumbled upon another video.  Apparently Leslie did an interview with Dj Green Lantern and he asked him to do a freestyle on the piano to Lil Wayne “Lollipop”.

To see someone doing what they love is AMAZING!!! I had to watch it over again…..(you know I wanted to throw my laptop across the floor Dallas…)  I am a person that is totally into music.  I can sit for hours watching someone create a masterpiece.   I figure I would share this video with you.  Keep in mind that it took him ONE MINUTE to freestyle to this song.

This man is definetly a MUSICAL GENIUS in my book!!!
